Zendaya Wore Christian Cowan To The ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Madrid Photocall

Zendaya stepped out for the Spider-Man: Brand New Day photocall held at the Four Seasons Hotel today in Madrid, Spain, kick-starting the actress’ second press tour of the year following The Drama, or third, if you count the one-and-done premiere for Euphoria season 3.

The previous press tour gave us something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue, a theme which Zendaya herself told us about. This one, however, has its theme apparent from the outset.

I mean, it is difficult not to make that connection when looking at this Christian Cowan Fall 2026 strapless black dress, especially with the asymmetrical fringe detailing that immediately draws the eye, creating strands that cascade from the hip like a stylised spider’s web. Whether intentional or not, the reference feels too obvious to ignore.

Zendaya has already done the literal spiderweb dress, wearing Valentino Haute Couture to the Spider-Man: No Way Home premiere in Los Angeles back in 2021, and Law Roach and Zendaya are always looking to elevate a theme rather than repeat it. That is exactly what they have done here.

No gimmicks here, just a subtle nod to the world she is promoting, wrapped up in a sleek, silhouette that brings plenty of glamour for a daytime photocall.

As for the styling, Zendaya seems committed to the short, cropped hairstyle she debuted during her last press tour. There was a time when every appearance came with a different hair story, but this slicked-back look is clearly the chapter she is enjoying right now. The simplicity works well here, allowing the dress to remain the focus.
